Yellow Pages Delivery:

The police have asked us to let you know that London South Yellow Pages will be delivered to Wandsworth postcodes in the week commencing 14th July, taking about 3 weeks.

They will be instructing delivery agents not to leave directories in view of the street. However they say it is unavoidable that some books will be left outside, giving an indication that the premises are not occupied.

Please could everyone keep a lookout for books that are out overly long.

A really bad report this week I'm afraid: There were 2 muggings in Church Lane - one involved the victim being threatened with a knife, there was a mugging in Welham Road where the female victim was kicked in the head while on the ground before being robbed, and there was a "burglary artiface" in Salterford Road - men posing as water company officials tricked a resident into allowing them into the house so they could steal.

Tooting & Balham Crime Report - 18th June 2003:

The files attached have the full report on burglary and street crime (note that car crimes are not included in these reports). A burglary in Welham road this week on 17th June at 3am. The burglar gained access through a window - don't forget to secure windows in this hot weather, and don't leave valuable items near windows which can tempt theives to "smash and grab".
